Alumni Board
First formed in the spring of 2004, the Alumni Board is made up of 15 alumni from a variety of age groups, with emphasis on local and younger alumni. With two standing committees – Events & Programs and Class Representatives – the group’s primary function is to design and implement programs and activities to enhance the role of Langley’s 1,550 alumni.
Among its goals, the Board hopes to:
- Facilitate communication among the alumni community
- Enrich the relationship between the alumni and the school’s students, parents, faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees
- Promote alumni as a resource to help Langley reach its educational, fundraising, and other goals
- Increase the visibility of the school and alumni in the greater Washington, DC, area
Alumni Board members meet on campus each spring and fall to plan activities, get a school update from the head of school, and listen to an alumni-focused guest speaker.
Alumni interested in serving on the Alumni Board, or in learning more about it, are encouraged to contact Director of Parent & Alumni Relations Meg Clute at mclute@langleyschool.org or (703) 356-1920, ext. 897.
We welcome the involvement of alums, as well as past or current parents and faculty, in helping plan events and programs!
