Physical Education
The Langley School has developed its physical education program to further enhance the school’s mission to educate the whole child in a comprehensive, well-rounded program that helps each child reach his or her fullest potential.
The physical education curriculum enables students to experience growth in all areas of physical development. By providing individual attention and creating an atmosphere of acceptance and inclusiveness, Langley’s faculty members encourage students to participate in athletic activities according to their unique talents.
Physical education is provided for all grades – from preschool to eighth grade – two to three times per week. Langley’s facilities offer an enjoyable environment, with two gyms, a climbing wall, and a large outdoor playing field. The goals of the program are to increase fitness levels, continue to develop basic motor skills, practice teamwork and good sportsmanship, provide participation for all, and help develop a sense of self-accomplishment for each student.
