Building Community
From the minute you step onto Langley’s campus, you will notice the strong sense of community that exists here. We are a caring group of devoted faculty, staff, and families working together toward a common goal: to educate, nurture, and inspire our students while preparing them to become responsible, contributing members of society.
Langley believes in creating a safe and supportive learning environment that nurtures both the intellectual and the ethical development of all students. This belief is articulated in the school’s Community Contract which students and parents sign each year.
Banners displaying the school’s five core values – respect, kindness, honesty, trustworthiness, and citizenship – are displayed throughout the campus. These values are integrated into the curriculum throughout the year, and are essential to creating an environment in which students care for themselves, develop a sense of personal integrity and self-discipline, and learn the value of individual and collective responsibility.
Through the Community Contract and the school’s strong focus on community service, the values and sense of social responsibility our students learn will help them use their academic accomplishments for greater good.
