Annual Fund

Like most independent schools, Langley’s tuition only covers about 94 percent of the actual cost of educating its students. The remaining gap between tuition income and operating expenses is bridged by Annual Fund gifts. Annual Fund donations are spent in entirety within the fiscal year of the gift and are not used for building projects or major capital expenditures.

A tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund is one of the most important ways to give because it directly supports Langley students. These unrestricted dollars are used for computers, library books, team uniforms, musical instruments, financial aid, faculty professional development, and more.

Langley depends on Annual Fund participation from the entire school community, including current parents, past parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends. The school needs and appreciates gifts of every size. The 2007-2008 Annual Fund Drive must raise $600,000 (which comes to about $1,200 per student) or Langley will need to cover the shortfall from the school's reserves.

Beginning at the $2,500 level, The 1942 Society recognizes Annual Fund donors who strongly believe in the success of Langley and want to go above and beyond a minimum Annual Fund commitment. Each membership level offers special recognition and benefits, including invitations to special networking and social events. Click here for a listing of The 1942 Society benefits and activities.
