Welcome to The Langley School! Langley is a joyful, engaging learning community where students in preschool through eighth grade build a strong academic and social-emotional foundation while enjoying childhood to the fullest. Our graduates are inquisitive, confident, kind-hearted, self-aware learners who thrive in the nation’s top high schools, colleges, and beyond.

Since our founding in 1942, Langley has been fully committed to young children. Through our powerful combination of inquiry-based learning and social-emotional learning, Langley students play, explore, and discover that they can overcome challenges and work with others to solve complex problems. They are researchers, innovators, and collaborators from the very start.

Begun as a parent cooperative, Langley is a close community of dedicated, caring faculty, staff, and parents with a clear shared purpose. While representing many backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, we all care deeply about our students’ well-being and success and about one another, and we join together for fun and celebration many times throughout the year. In addition to our exceptional programs, I am continually grateful for the strong school spirit and stewardship felt on our campus every day. 

While this website will give you a glimpse of Langley, it cannot fully capture our connected community and the dynamic, wonder-filled atmosphere in each classroom as students investigate, discuss, experiment, problem-solve, and create.
