After reflecting, writing, and revising using descriptive vocabulary and their unique style and voice, eighth-graders completed their mini-memoirs in language arts class which they also adapted into children’s books for their kindergarten buddies. The project not only encouraged self-reflection, but also enhanced students' narrative writing skills and their ability to adapt a story for different audiences.
