Second-graders celebrated the completion of their Culture and Heritage unit with family and friends. To begin their research, students acted as historians by interviewing a friend or family member as a primary source of information, gaining personal insights into the lives and traditions of people from around the world. Using these interviews, students explored the geography of their chosen countries and gathered details on vibrant arts, customs, and celebrations. Students shared these culminating projects through beautifully designed trifold boards that highlighted the unique cultural aspects of each nation. To conclude the celebration, students and their guests enjoyed a special luncheon featuring a variety of global dishes, bringing the flavors of their research to life.
