First- and second-graders took us on a musical journey across the U.S. during their end-of-year performance. In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, students explored the rich history, vibrant culture, and vast diversity of various times, places, and traditions to create a unique musical landscape. Using familiar folk songs, traditional songs, and folk dances, they traveled from the days of The Old Chisholm Trail to the beaches of California and Hawaii, visiting states and landmarks along the way. We are so proud of the hard work our students put into this show!
