Seventh-graders took part in the annual Vegetable Car Derby in science class. Using their knowledge of physics principles, students designed and built cars consisting entirely of fruits, vegetables, and bamboo skewers. They then tested the distance their cars could travel by rolling them down a ramp, applying design principles and engineering skills as they adjusted their cars to achieve greater distance.
