Drawing of a tiger

During their realistic drawing unit, sixth-grade students created oil pastel drawings depicting various endangered species and included statistics and facts about the animals’ habitats, diets, populations, and why they are endangered. In addition to enhancing their artistic skills, this project also enabled students to raise awareness through artistic expression and establish connections between the arts and other disciplines.
