Sixth-grade science students have been investigating ways to improve water quality in and around our community as part of their science share projects. After choosing a question to explore – such as “How do rooftop gardens affect runoff rates?” or “Does plant type affect water pollution?” – students designed their own procedures and collected data. Over the next few weeks, they will continue to analyze their data, develop conclusions, write abstracts, and prepare their final presentations which they look forward to sharing with the entire community at Langley’s STEAM Fair on February 3.
