Langley artists in grades kindergarten, 4, and 8 are partnering with The Phillips Collection to create a work of art that will be displayed at the museum. The piece will connect to the Timeless Mucha exhibit about artist Alphonse Mucha, beginning in February. Educators from The Phillips Collection came to campus twice, introducing students to Mucha’s work and helping them create nature prints which will be combined to make a single large-scale piece. Kindergartners and their eighth-grade buddies, as well as fourth-graders, will have the opportunity to see their finished work on display during field trips to The Phillips Collection in February and March.
