The Langley community shared how we celebrate peace and light both in our homes and here at Langley during our annual school-wide Peace and Light assembly. All students gathered in the Solomon Athletic Center where different grade levels presented about various winter holidays, including Diwali, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Students sang “Light a Candle for Peace” together while holding battery-operated candles, and watched as our youngest and oldest students lit Langley’s holiday tree. At the end of the assembly, students were asked to reflect on how they will use our core values to bring peace and light to our Langley community this winter season.
