Third-graders enjoyed a visit from the executive director of the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation, the organization with which students are partnering for their service learning project. She talked about the foundation’s mission, explained how they help dogs and cats find homes, and brought along several puppies for the students to pet. Over the next few months, the third grade will assist the foundation through a variety of projects such as filling Kong pet toys with treats, writing persuasive essays to help pets get adopted, and making treats and notes for the foundation's volunteers.
